2019 Nashoba Valley Hunt Pace Event

Teams of 2 (or 3 if desired) riders, any age, taking the course at a safe and sensible “hunting pace”.  The course will be well marked; about 8-10 miles long, and contain 35-40 fences. There will be a mandatory rest stop of 3 minutes on the course.  First ride out at 9:00a.m.

  • Jumping Division
Jump all the fences.
  • Hilltop Division (Pick & Choose)
Jumping fences optional, there is a way around all the fences.
  • Juniors
A hilltop division for teams with a rider 18 and under.
  • Senior Hilltop
A hilltop division for our teams with a riders 55 and over.


Entry Fee - $45 per rider pre-entry,  $50 post entry fee.

Please make checks to payable to Nashoba Valley Hunt.

Attire - ASTM/SEI Certified Helmets mandatory, any safe attire acceptable.

Ribbons - Ribbons through tenth place.

Also top honors to the Best Matched Team

No entries will be taken after One o’clock on the day of Pace.

Competitors are reminded that happy landowners are a vital necessity to any hunt and pace event, because of this we ask that you only jump the designated fence, Jumping others will incur elimination.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Parking for Pace Event will be the Back Parking Lot of DELUXE PINPOINT (Formerly - New England Business) Route 119

Directions

From Rte. 495
Take Exit 31 at Littleton Common on to Rte. 119 West through Groton Center Approximately 3/4 of mile on Right will be entrance for DELUXE CORPORATION.

From Rte. 111
Go to Rte 119 East Approximate 3/4 of mile on Left will be the entrance for DELUXE CORPORATION.

NO WATER will be available in parking area - Please bring your own.
• Because we will be using the Deluxe Pinpoint parking lot we ask that you clean your parking area of all manure and hay before you leave.

I hereby enter the above pace event at my own risk, subject to the rules of the Nashoba Valley Hunt Pace Event, and I hereby engage to be responsible for any injury or damages that may occur to or be caused by any animals, vehicles or trappings, or the loss of any animal, vehicle or trappings exhibited by me, and I further agree to be absolutely responsible for the physical condition of any animal under my control or ownership and will also release, indemnify and save harmless the said Pace Event from any damage, expense and/or liability arising out of, or resulting from any act or omission of the exhibitor or Nashoba Valley Hunt, their agents, servants, or employees. I agree to conduct myself in such a way as to minimize danger to myself and others. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nashoba Valley Hunt, the organizing committee, the officials, and all owner of lands used from any and all liability arising out of my entering this pace event, or the participation of any person riding, exhibiting, or working for me or arising out of any vehicle or animal which I send to this event. If I am under 18 years of age, my entering this event indicates parental approval and acceptance of event rules.

Warning Under Massachusetts Law, an equine Professional is not liable for any injury to, or death of, a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities, pursuant to Chapter 128, Section 2D, of the General Laws. Parent or Guardian must sign if under 18 years of age.
